These South Chagrin Reservation engagement photos are absolutely dreamy! Jewels and Jay are not only an adventurous couple but close family friends, and I can’t wait for their backyard July wedding next year. We had a great time at the engagement session, so much that at moments it almost didn't feel as if we were in Ohio!
We actually started their evening off in their own back yard, which for the record gave me total backyard envy! They have a wood lined back yard that made for the perfect backdrop to capture them with their second loves, their dirt bikes. In their normal weekly schedules, they try every chance they can to get out to a trail with their bikes and spend a peaceful day riding together. Of course this meant we had to include their bikes in their engagement photos, because that is a big part of who they naturally are.
After the dirt bikes had their time to shine, we headed to downtown Chagrin falls for the next portion of their session, which may or may not have solely been for the purpose of getting ice cream on a hot summer night! Certainly no complaint by me to grab some ice cream and grab pictures of Jewels and Jay walking around the little town enjoying each other's company while stealing bites of each other's ice cream.
With ice cream devoured, it was onto the final location of the evening. South Chagrin Reservation is a large section of the Cleveland Metroparks, with various trails and experiences. The specific path we selected offered hiking trails, along with a waterfall just off the main path. A quick outfit change and we were back at chatting and laughing while I just so happened to be taking photos at the same time. FUN FACT, the main vision Jewels and Jay had for the engagement photos were to be surrounded by nature. Finally getting on the trail, they both instantly relaxed and felt right at home. They felt their vision become reality and at one point I caught them having a moment together, completely unprompted, taking in the beauty of the nature they were surrounded by!
